Where did you come up with "Poni-X Productions" as your name?
One of my favorite movies as a kid was "The Outsiders", it was also a great book, and the main character was named "Pony Boy". Growing up, I wanted to be a rockstar, as most boys do, and I knew that if I ever made it that "Pony Boy" would be my stage name, but changing the "y's" to "i's" (PoniBoi). So when starting my company I thought it would be awesome to be able to use that concept in it's name. However the only thing that I could come up with that worked with "Poni" was "Express". Well, not being a speedy delivery company "Poni Express" was out, and not being a press company "Poni-X Press" was also out. But I liked the sound of the "Poni-X" and being a production company...well, there you go. It rolls off the tonque nicely too.
Do you offer credit cards as a form of payment?
No. We use to offer it online through PayPal, but it wasn't a very popular feature. We except cash and checks.
How do your DJs dress for events?
Our DJs will always be properly and professionally dressed for your event. If it's casual, then we wear either a Poni-X T-Shirt or a Poni-X Polo. If the event is formal, we will be in classy dress; shirt, tie, slacks. We do not wear tuxedos like most other DJ Services do, we feel it is has become a gimic. And besides, shouldn't you be the best dressed?
Do you offer a guarentee?
Yes. If our staff does not perform to company standards, but does work the entire event, we will retain the deposit and refund you the rest. If for some reason, due to equipment failure, health of staff, etc, we cannot accomodate you, or your event goes terribly wrong, you will recieve a full refund.
Do you ever sub-contract other DJ Services?
Never. Our policy is to never overbook a date. Though we hate to turn away any event, if we cannot accomodate you with our own staff, we will NOT use another service to fill in for us. We will, however, recommend a few services that might have an opening and that we trust will take care of you.
How do you price events?
I use to work for a car dealership that had a great motto: "We price our cars, not our customers." Though we may offer discounts and have promotions from time to time, "We price service, not our clients." Please see our Pricing page for details.

How far are you willing to travel?
How far away do you need us? We will perform anywhere you need us to. However, without adding travel expenses, we typically stay within a 50 mile radius of Akron, OH. Please see our Pricing page for more details.
Do your DJs expect to be fed?
While doing some research on other DJ sites I came across one that actually said:"[price]...plus food for up to four people". I was appalled that a service company would expect to be served. So, no, we do not expect to be fed. However, I was raised that it was rude to turn down and offer for food or drink, so if offered by the host(s) we would be more than happy to grab a plate.
Do your DJs drink while performing?
No, unless offered by the host(s), our DJs never drink on the job. Even then, we limit it to just one so we are completely capable of performing the rest of the evening. And never will we drink at an event were there is not suppose to be any alcohol.
